I love dogs and I love helping people.
My name is Kenneth, and I live in East Vancouver. I am passionate about dog training and helping owners handle their dogs.
My journey into dog training began with challenges in communication—I didn’t always understand the best way to connect with dogs. I worked as a dog walker and trainer for 5 years, starting in 2012, for a company that used purely positive training methods. While these methods worked in some situations, I often found myself relying on avoidance, distractions, and bribing, which made me feel irrelevant when the stakes were high. I wanted to provide training that owners could count on, but I didn’t feel like purely positive methods were enough.
Everything changed when I began working with a friend of a friend who needed help with dog walking and sitting. This experience brought me into contact with Angie (@mightyoaks), an incredible trainer who I ended up shadowing in multiple sessions. When we first met we worked with three massive Newfoundland dogs—one aggressive towards people, one towards other dogs, and the third who needed to learn basic manners. Angie’s guidance, along with the owner’s commitment to consistent training, opened my eyes to what was truly possible. I realized that I could finally pursue my passion for dog training and help owners achieve reliable, solid results.
Today, I still work with these dogs, and our walks are no longer struggles. We don’t need to cross the road to avoid others, and the dogs are calm—no lunging, barking, or pulling. They’re simply enjoyable, peaceful walks.
I love dogs, and I love helping people. My goal is to help you and your dog live in harmony, free from unnecessary stress, and to make training an enjoyable journey for both of you.
